Travel boards on eBay

Just wanted people to know there are travel boards for sale on eBay (I'm not selling them). I just had my plane rigged a few weeks ago but I'm sure someone will want these. Maybe we can pass these around for people looking to get their planes rigged.

I don't think I would consider buying travel boards unless I was in the maintenance business. It is my understanding that the travel boards are not the end of the rigging process, but kind of the beginning. After setting with the boards, it needs to be test flown and tweaked until perfect. After that, without some major disassembly or accident, you would be unlikely to ever need them again.

That being said, my opinion might change if they were extremely cheap, or if you plan to resell them. Then it would be kind of like renting them.

Yeah those went quick! I also agree that the rigging involves these board and flight testing. My friends Mooney was also rigged this last December and they are still tweeting it.

Don Maxwell did my rigging a few years ago and the plane is still flying straight without autopilot.

His rigging process was to fly the airplane first and see how it is doing. Afterwards he put the plane on jacks and rigged everything in regard to the travel boards and his flying experience. At the end he did another flight to check again and to adjust more things

The ebay boards appeared to be out of the 50’s, perhaps during the A model. Not sure what models they were good for.
