The 76 F model was the foundation for 77 J. Maybe there was a change in the seat style in late F models in prep for the J introduction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Nice work! I have the interior from the 1977 m20j. Down to the yokes. I had always wondered why my yokes we're different ... Here's a link to a 77 j listing. https://www.aerolifeaviation.com/Item/Index?idun=2&1977-MOONEY-M20J-201 Quote

I haven't had mine out in over 10 years. Can you remind me how they are removed? Can I do it without removing the interior side panels... again? Thanks. Quote

Lean the seat to the inside and lift out. 1 Quote

Looks like you don't have the split rear seats. A guy put together a file to show how to mod the seat to fold down. The PDF is in this thread. Quote

I just pull the main cushion up for easier access, and there is a spring loaded L shaped pin for each seat where the two meet in the middle...or it might be on the side, I can’t quite remember right now. Pull that, and slide that side of the seat (angled) towards the front of the plane. I would take photos for ya but it’s in the avionics shop for a couple weeks. 1 Quote
