I flew a M20J into Calistoga CA when the gliderport was in operation. It was narrow, but I don’t know the width as it varied. Wider than the wheels, though. 

If you can stay in your lane on the freeway, a narrow runway isn’t that much different.

I used a glider tow runway once… 22’ wide.

Went skiing at Hunter Mountain in NY… before Uber was invented…

 

Keep your eyes on the center, know how to keep the centerline lined up with the nose wheel…

calculating T/O distance was the more important part of the runway experience…

Getting a taxi in the middle of nowhere was a challenge…
