I've had my KX155 overhauled with a new display but the little On/Off Volume Knob disintegrated today.  Just pieces of the knob sticking out from the faceplate.  Anyone know if those can be easily replaced (pull it off and push another one on, etc)?  Or does it require an avionics shop with mad skills?  Thanks.

The knob is held on by a tiny set screw. You either need to find the King part number for the knob and try to find one, or go on Digikey and see if you can find a set screw knob for the same shaft diameter. It won’t look quite right, but it will work just fine.

These might work: https://www.engravers.net/faceplate-supplies.html

The knob slides off after you remove faceplate and remove the 2 screws holding the little  microswitch in place.

Send me your address and I mail you a replacement.

My KX-155 is now good as an old radio can be again.  Thanks for sending the knob (and so quickly).  The hardest part of the install was finding the little microscopic washer I dropped on the floor.
