Oh jeez, I don’t have those.  Just the regular tinnerman for the #8 sheet metal screws.
How did the truss heads look?

Still waiting.   I started using 1st class mail from AS because shipping is getting to pricey for my CB a$$.

For the OP, I don't know about this specific instance or about Spruce, but I notice some suppliers are pretty lazy about associating real pictures of a product alongside the listing.  Some just use a "generic" picture which may or may not match the actual product that gets shipped.  Others just say "picture coming soon".

These guys are still my favorite for aircraft hardware:

Their printed catalog is absolutely fantastic with comprehensive reference materials, pictures, and other ridiculously useful stuff.  It's $8, but free if you order more than $75 worth of stuff

Interesting.  I think I’ll wait until you get yours and see.  Do you mind posting a picture?

The truss head screws arrived today.  They look great.  These are the "B" version with the blunt end.

Yeah that’s what’s currently on mine.  Thanks.  I’m gonna order 200 of those and new tinnerman nuts.  Next year all the sheet metal screws will be renewed.

I just pulled my belly panels twice in the last month and am very dissatisfied with my screw situation. In the pics these look like #10s and when we started @Ragsf15e was looking at #8s. Which should I order?

Well that’s the issue… the parts manual calls for #8, but many have been replaced with 10s as the tinnerman nuts are enlarged over the years.  I just bought all new 8s and new 8 tinnerman nuts, so I’m going to replace that whole mess next time I take off that forward panel.  One note, the parts manual calls for (at least for my ‘68F), “round head #8” screws but the truss head ones seem more like the ones that are in there.

Just finished reinstalling all my belly panels after annual.  Next year I’m just going throw away all the existing sheet metal screws and tinnerman nuts on the front panel and the panels under the exhaust & fuel pump.  All the screws are different and the nuts are worn.

Heres the problem, the manual says use AN530-8R8 screws but the head on those sits much higher (like pimples) than the existing ones which look like pan head or truss head from my brief research.  What is the correct head type?  Do I just accept that what Spruce says is AN530-8R8 with a very round head is what is supposed to be in there?

Thanks!

Truss head.

This years annual (a few months back) I was missing some tinneman  plates  I couldn't source them quickly to I installed nut plates on the sides of the panel then I as I was  buttoning up belly panel I mange to snap the transponder antenna. so I bought  2 transponder antenna's  (one for just in  case) which should mean that  I won't break an antenna  for a  while.  At least that how it works with my EGT  probes. Any way I had remove the belly panel  and weather was going to crappy for a while.I finished replaced the rest of the panel with nut plates.
