Htmlkid Posted January 7, 2022 Report Posted January 7, 2022 So I posted this before but have a little more info.... I have a STEC-50 Autopilot coupled with my Mid Continental 1394Y100-14RB Turn Coordinator. When the autopilot is engaged I occasionally get a flicker of the red light on my turn coordinator and it disengages the Autopilot. The weird thing is when the autopilot is shut off I don't seem to get the red light flicker on the turn coordinator. I also monitored my voltage during this and never had a change. Anyone have some ideas..... ??? Quote
carusoam Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 @Jake@BevanAviation is one of our go to guys… @Bob Weber is another… I don’t know if we have a go to guy for Stec… Best regards, -a- Quote
Jake@BevanAviation Posted January 10, 2022 Report Posted January 10, 2022 @Htmlkid My guess would be the TC valid to the system 50 is dropping out causing the system to disconnect. It sounds like the valid flag is what you are seeing in the indicator come into view. I would call Mid Continent (316-630-0101) and ask for Doug in the gyro shop. Tell him what you are seeing and see what his suggestion is. 3 Quote
