Mac80 Posted October 31, 2021 Report Posted October 31, 2021 Comparison with Century 2000 1994 installed by Century 1997 computer work done 2000 more computer work 2009 roll servo repaired more computer work Attitude and directional gyros rebuilt or replaced over time. 2021 computer repaired, trim and pitch interrupt switches replaced roll servo repaired. Matt Greer signed off on install in 1994, repairs 1997, 2000, and 2021. Works better than since I have owned it. 24 years of service and 3300 hours. Got to say that GRMN has stepped up supporting general aviation and I have started supported them. My next autopilot would be the 500 if needed.
Emmet Posted October 31, 2021 Report Posted October 31, 2021 No servo issues at all - and I think I was one of the first to have it installed in a Mooney. 1
carusoam Posted November 1, 2021 Report Posted November 1, 2021 Skip, One problem with the poll… I had to answer the question to see the results… I don’t have a GFC, so I didn’t get a servo problem… It is great to see the power of MS and BT… for keeping suppliers on their toes… Best regards, -a-

Anyway, currently have 17 installs with no problems and 4 installs where one or mor servos had to be replaced. Skio

Find the “…” menu…. Once the poll has started though… editing it can cause a bunch of other statistical challenges…. I think it worked really well… identifying the scale of the challenge… might be helpful for big G as well… That’s a lot of challenged servos… Best regards, -a-
Mike Fay Posted November 4, 2021 Report Posted November 4, 2021 I just used my C182 again after 2 months. I replaced the servo about 100 hours ago, after only 300 hours of original use. Same problem, the servo is down again. I am starting to worry that there is a real issue with these servos that Garmin is not owning up to.
