Will.iam Posted August 11, 2021 Report Posted August 11, 2021 A jpi sensor, comes with a fancy digital display for free. Quote
201Mooniac Posted August 11, 2021 Report Posted August 11, 2021 Is it the factory probe or a probe for a multi-probe engine analyzer or do you think the factory gauge is failing? If it is a probe, it is fairly simple to find one but should be checked to ensure it is compatible with your display. Quote
PT20J Posted August 11, 2021 Report Posted August 11, 2021 Mooney just lists a Mooney part number. I'd call LASAR or Don Maxwell and see if they know the commercial equivalent. Or, you might try former Mooney Service Center Manager Steve Ellis at Gulf Avionics in Kerrville. I haven't tried it, but I'd guess a JPI probe would work. Skip Quote

carusoam Posted August 12, 2021 Report Posted August 12, 2021 If you can… Get a pic of the offending probe… Mooney used a couple of different styles over the years… And if it is a JPI probe… That would be good to know too… Best regards, -a- Quote
carusoam Posted August 12, 2021 Report Posted August 12, 2021 Doc’s Rochester probe… https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/inpages/rochcht.php -a- Quote
