The old, black (CAT?) tubing to my defrost ducts self-destructed.  Got new SCAT.  Right side no problem.  Now I can’t remember how the pilot side was routed.  Everywhere I try I’m getting in the way of the control column mechanism.  If anyone find themselves under the panel, a photo of the defrost duct routing would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing says control interference like misrouted ducting behind the Instrument Panel…. :)

Lets see if @M20Doc has one of those fancy drawings for pilot side defrost tubing…

One PP trying to help out another…

These are from a 78J.  I don’t know if it’s routed correctly or not; but it hasn’t killed me yet.

I had mine replaced, different routing, when yoke is pushed in to the limit I hit the hose(s). I plan on looking at rerouting it in near future. I think the top smaller hose has to be rerouted behind or maybe just cable tied to the steel frame to pull it up and forward.
