Gunderbear Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 OK, I finally got to fly my Mooney M20E that i purchased 4 months ago from a kind gentle crook that lied about everything, including a prop strike. After 30K more for the overhaul and other issues, I am happy with the plane. I was sitting in it today and noticed the Questair O.A.T in the windshield. I turned in on and nothing happened. I unscrewed it and decided it needed a new battery. Screwing it back in, it snapped and broke. Just GREAT. Can't find anywhere online to buy a new one. Any suggestions??
Cruiser Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 I think they stopped selling them because everytime you replaced the battery and screwed it back in they broke. ;>)
jetdriven Posted November 16, 2011 Report Posted November 16, 2011 I bet is was shiny and has NDH logs.

Gunderbear Posted November 17, 2011 Author Report Posted November 17, 2011 I tried the number for questair that is listed but get a message that this number doesn't take messages. @Cruiser, thanks for the very good laugh!
N601RX Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Davtron makes some relatively inexpensive units that have PMA approval. Some of the units have additional features such as clock, stopwatch, pressure and density altitude. Look at the 300, 600 and 800 series. They are panel mount, but I suspose you could put the probe in the window hole. http://www.davtron.com/
jetdriven Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 The M803 is a super nice unit, but around 400$ all in.
