unable to insert url links to images

when trying to post image from a url like below:

http://accelerationtech.com/photos/mooney/2652w/updates/IMG_4793.jpg

the box will not accept is (with no error message why).

This used to work but now is not.

Also, it looks as if the images I did post that way are no longer showing up in the site but, if I open in new tab, it works...
