Parker_Woodruff Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 That's a great looking airplane. Quote
Flyingmora Posted October 17, 2011 Author Report Posted October 17, 2011 Parker - Many thanks! I do enjoy 72TF and, but now I have to look for something with more payload. My dream is a TBM with the cost of an ovation... What a dream! Quote
jax88 Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Have I seen this aircraft out at Dona Ana before? Quote
Flyingmora Posted December 27, 2011 Author Report Posted December 27, 2011 Jax88, you are correct, N72TF is actually hangared at Donna Ana (5T6), do you fly there often? Rick Quote
Flyingmora Posted December 27, 2011 Author Report Posted December 27, 2011 Mitch, Thanks for the compliment! You have a great RED pain scheme on yours, did you have it done yourself? Quote
jax88 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Rick, Dona Ana is my fuel stop when flying from San Antonio to Las Vegas. Love the red burritos they keep in the freezer! While stopped there once I spotted a beautiful Mooney on the ramp and briefly chatted with the pilot, though if I recall correctly the pilot stated that the Mooney was not his. Randy Quote

Flyingmora Posted December 31, 2011 Author Report Posted December 31, 2011 Randy, you probably Spoke with Angel, who used to fly for my partner, it's funny you mention San Antonio because I go there often for Bussiness, fly mostly commercial though? What FBO do you recommend in KSAT? Quote
jax88 Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Yep, the wife confirmed that it was Angel we spoke with at Dona Ana. I loved the look of your Ovation then, and still do. Now if I could just convince myself to take the step up from the F . . . I have only used San Antonio Aviation at KSSF and Landmark's north terminal at KSAT. No complaints about either. Landmark has much nicer facilities, but some don't like flying GA into larger international/commercial airports and the higher fuel prices that go with them. Seems the city is trying to run all of GA out of KSAT. I currently keep 6949V at KSSF, but I have been contemplating moving her up to KSAT to get her closer to the house. Couldn't convince the wife to move out to Kestrel, but I also contemplated moving the aircraft there or Boerne Stage. Traffic at Boerne Stage always gives me reason for pause. Quote
