My guess it that that paint scheme is from the latest Mooney reincarnation (beginning in 2014) era.

I used to do a lot of boat painting and came up with the design to upgrade the paint job with colors and the wave swirl like the newer Mooneys but don't like the newer designs of the new ones. So I made a few adjustments. Hawk Air Craft painting did it and I couldn't have been happier with the results.
