slowflyin Posted December 4, 2019 Report Posted December 4, 2019 The wife and I offered our adult kids a vacation deal. We will rent the house if you can manage to get there. We flew the Bravo and they (3 kids with wives.....) flew commercial. I offered to haul non airline friendly items thinking I’d be task with a couple of fishing rods. The first pic is the back of a Ford Expedition we rented. Slam full! The second and a third shows us loading up for the flight home. To my surprise there was more! I guess they didn’t want to check a bag. Thankfully it was all bulk and no weight! 2 Quote

carusoam Posted December 6, 2019 Report Posted December 6, 2019 If it fits in the back of a Tahoe... it fits in an Ovation... (David @AAA) There is a mathematical correlation for this... it probably works... If it fits in the back of an Expedition... it fits in a Bravo..! Great Pics Slow Flyin’! thanks for sharing them. All the open top bags are perfect in the Mooney... not so good for traveling commercial... Best regards, -a- Quote

Hank Posted December 6, 2019 Report Posted December 6, 2019 Even a lowly short-body C will carry a lot. This was leaving the airport after our Thanksgiving trip . . . It was all in the plane . . . . I moved it from one Ranger to another. 3 Quote
carusoam Posted December 7, 2019 Report Posted December 7, 2019 I think I am just getting a feel for how big a Mooney really is... Installing a gravity switch in the Ranger is key to keeping things in the back... Go War Eagle! Best regards, -a- 2 Quote
aviatoreb Posted December 9, 2019 Report Posted December 9, 2019 Just to throw into he mix - I once carried a dozen chihuahua doggies in crates for a pilots and paws mission. And my son as assistant. I also have carried two dozen live lobsters - which didn't live more than 6 hours after the flight.... 2 people and four bicycles - less unusual. 2 Quote
