AMSafe Seat Belt - $200

Replaced my AMSafe latch seat belt with a push button seat belt because I was tired of ripping my knuckes off and unbuckling the seat belt when using the Jbar. 

Left the existing strap installed since its the same part. 

So new strap and used belt.

Where did you get your push button seat belts?  I am tired of unlatching my lap belt every time I try to re-trim the airplane.

$379 including shipping.  I called and asked them if they would just sell me the lapbelt since I already have the strap installed and they said no because "reasons".  But after ripping my knuckles off and dealing with bleeding out on final for the second time I decided it was worth the money.  Its about a 30-60 minute swap.

This knuckle-busting problem, is it just the pilot side that you bust your knuckles or both?  I'm thinking I might be able to use this on the passenger side where it would brush the backside of my hand and get the push button style for the pilot side.  Of course, I'd need to check with the wife to see if she'd OK two different styles in the plane.

I only changed out the pilot side one.  Passenger doesn't have the same problem since they're not messing with the gear.  If you don't have a strap today then you will need the minor mod kit.  http://alphaaviation.com/mooney-minor-change-kit-m20-a-thru-g-and-early-j/
