HaldenG Posted May 6, 2018 Report Posted May 6, 2018 I have a KFC 200 installed on my 231 but the only yoke switches I have are the trim interrupt and CWS switches. These two switches are located on the right side of my yoke. I would like to move those two plus add a trim switch to the left side of my yoke. Does anyone know what this would entail and where to get the parts? Quote
Bob - S50 Posted May 6, 2018 Report Posted May 6, 2018 Call BK. I talked to them last week and they were nice enough to send me a reference copy of the STC for M20F and M20J. Even though the guy I talked to initially didn't think there was a trim only system, I found it listed in the STC. For the F the part number is 200AM20F-29. For the J the part number is 200AM20J-29. Both parts also required installation kits with a part number of 050-1579-07. They may have something similar for the K. Of course, start by telling them you have a KFC200 without electric trim and you would like to add the electric trim option and see what they say. Quote
HaldenG Posted May 6, 2018 Author Report Posted May 6, 2018 I have electric trim - at least I can see the trim wheel spinning when the autopilot is engaged. I just don't have a yoke switch to control it. Quote
Bob - S50 Posted May 6, 2018 Report Posted May 6, 2018 In that case, definitely call BK, tell them what you have and ask what you need to do to add 'manual electric trim'. Quote
HaldenG Posted May 6, 2018 Author Report Posted May 6, 2018 You'll have to excuse my ignorance but what is BK? Quote
CaptRJM Posted May 6, 2018 Report Posted May 6, 2018 Bendix-King As with most things aviation have your checkbook ready. The switch alone is around $1500. Quote
