  1. On our M20F we are getting an intermittent problem where after gear retraction we are getting a horn and the light in the gear retraction override button is illuminated. Both the gear down and gear unsafe lights are extinguished when we get the horn. If we extend the gear, the horn goes out and we get a normal gear down light as well as a light on the floor indicator between the seats. Sometimes cycling the gear will make the horn stop but lately it just stays on until the gear is down again. Based on the light being on in the gear retraction override button it seems as though the airplane thinks it's still on the ground with the gear up, but it never stops us from retracting the gear after takeoff. This particular M20F has a 'squat' switch on the left main gear. Any thoughts before I have a mechanic swing the gear countless times trying to track down an intermittent problem?
  2. It used to indicate a turn (just not on the correct heading with an intermittent HDG flag), but today it didn't move at all. Also, today was the first flight in approximately 3 months due to some engine repairs.
  3. I have a KI 525A HSI that has been getting an intermittent HDG flag and today has stopped moving altogether. The HDG flag fluctuates off and on when I mess with the KA 51A slaving meter but as of today no movement in the HSI even when I try to manually turn it with the slaving meter so I'm not sure where the problem may lie. Does anyone have any recommendations for a fix as well as any avionics shop recommendations around Las Vegas and the surrounding areas?
  4. The maintenance shop I've been working with at North Las Vegas airport is telling me that my aft propeller bulkhead is cracked and needs replacement. They say they have searched everywhere to include prop shops, Mooney Service Centers, and Mooney Headquarters with no luck. Does any one know where I can find one of these? (part number 680032-013)
  5. Is the 20TC2AA5 switch a drop-in replacement for the elevator trim switch in my 1981 M20K? According to my service manual it's a 5 amp switch.
  6. Yes, it's the same style switch as boost pumps, lights, prop, and pitot heat.
  7. It's the "master" trim on/off switch on the panel that needs to be replaced, not the yoke switch.
  8. My panel electric trim switch is inop and I'm not having any luck finding a replacement. I've contacted Lasar, Wentworth, Dodson, White, Air Salvage, and KRN with no luck from any of them. I'm hoping someone on here might know of somwhere to find this switch. The part number is 930023-009; 930023-209A is also an acceptable switch but is typically more expensive but I'm having trouble finding either one of them.
  9. Thanks for the info and recommendations, I’ll give Lone Mountain a try.
  10. Recently moved on a military PCS to Las Vegas and have a shade hanger for my M20K at North Las Vegas (KVGT). I'm looking to see if anyone has any maintenance recommendations for annuals and routine stuff that comes up. Specifically right now I need a hyrdro inspection on my internal oxygen bottle and my annual is coming due in December.
  11. I'm assuming you want one that's working but if not I've got one on eBay right now that was removed and determined to be unserviceable by Naylor Instruments in Gainsville, FL. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Airspeed-Indicator-EA-5175/282992637633
  12. You'll have to excuse my ignorance but what is BK?
  13. I'm guessing so. All they did was replace the airspeed indicator and my gear unsafe light is functioning properly now.
  14. I have electric trim - at least I can see the trim wheel spinning when the autopilot is engaged. I just don't have a yoke switch to control it.
  15. I have a KFC 200 installed on my 231 but the only yoke switches I have are the trim interrupt and CWS switches. These two switches are located on the right side of my yoke. I would like to move those two plus add a trim switch to the left side of my yoke. Does anyone know what this would entail and where to get the parts?
