mike_elliott Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 .That looks like David Lincolns' old 201, probably the nicest one in existence. I have some time in that one and have spent a few hours in the right seat of your ex Ovation also. You have great tastes that might only be placated with a new Ultra! 1 Quote
Danb Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 Vance the SVT upgrade in 2006 for my BravoGX was about $10,000, in my opinion well worth it, everyone has there own opinions re. that upgrade. ADSB 345R was around $6,000, the WAAS. Upgrade approximates $22,000, the new STEC3100 should approximate $11,000 installed, base price $9,995. Then you'll be fully equipped. Looking like your also a CPA get to work. Quote

MB65E Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 As a CPA, I'm sure you could figure out how to obtain a new ultra. Depreciate the crap out of it and sell it once again. By the time you were done changeing a used airplane to your liking, you'd probably have close to the depression cost of the first few years in it. It it would be a fast ride. Buy it now then sell it to us in 20 years! -Matt Quote

It has WAAS so it will do GPS approaches with vertical guidance It has SVT. It has Air Conditioning. For $100,000 or more less than the 2008 it will get you there just as fast and your avionics won't be tied to the Airplane's type certificate so down the road you can upgrade to the latest and greatest at that time. Decided to go the 1997 Ovation3 way and put in a few upgrades. Made the call and found out, SOLD already!! Back to the drawing board. Edited March 1, 2018 by Jvancecpa Quote
steingar Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 I really should thank you guys for restoring, upgrading and selling all these aircraft. Makes things nice for us buyers. Were I contemplating a regular trip like that with no time constraints I'd probably buy myself a VFR RV and learn some aerobatics as well. 1 Quote
