aviatoreb Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 So it looks to be stc approved now for 172/182 and piper 28 and some bonanza by q2. Maybe m20 soon? Anyone know? https://www.avweb.com/avwebflash/news/Garmins-Budget-Autopilot-Now-STC-Approved-230133-1.html Quote
KSMooniac Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 All I know is that they have a J and an R in their fleet, and I suspect we'll be after the Beech update. My guess only at this point.I'm watching Dynon as well...tough choices ahead!Sent from my LG-US996 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Jeff_S Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 From what I have read, I believe the STC also requires the G5 to drive the autopilot, so you’re looking at a package deal if that’s true. 1 Quote

That is right. I think it was something like $4500 for a dual g5 package? And I see the GFC500 listing for $7k on the Garmin site today. So that is $11500 for the main components plus install and surely other smaller parts. Quote

Bryan Posted January 4, 2018 Report Posted January 4, 2018 KI300? STC paperwork is due out at the end of the month. Rep says you can order it now thru your King/Honeywell dealer. Quote

Except maybe the DME, it seems ok. Also after flying with a GFC 700, the whole ability to have Vertical Speed modes other than pitch and altitude hold and glide slope would be really cool. 3 Quote

You can't have your cake and eat it too! Apparently King has been so awful to you and you can't stand them and want to drop all their equipment in the ocean. Go ahead and do it! But it has to be EVERYTHING! Can't pick and choose which King equipment you keep and which you send for a swim! Quote
