after dumping $800 into my KNS 80 they are telling me the CDI is bad and not worth fixing.  New one is $2500. 

Anybody got a working KI 206 laying around?  I found a couple on fleabay I may have to go with.

I have a KI 209A that I need to sell at some point.    Not sure if that helps ?

according to the internet no. 

Will a KI-209A indicator work with a KNS-80? 
Since the King KNS-80 contains an internal VOR/LOC Converter, it is designed to be used with indicators that do not include this converter. The KI-209A does have this converter built in and would not be a suitable choice.

Just looked in my closet and I ask have a KI 208 yellow taged.  Not sure if that helps ??

looks like a

KNI-520

  would work as well.  Ill check on the 208.  does it have glideslope?

Edit.  No glideslope so that wont work.

Turtle, you'll have a fun closet too...  it just takes time.  :)

There are some used instrument dealers that might be helpful for you. They can probably answer the question of what you need to use to make what you have work. 

KNS80 was a top of the line device in its day.  Many of them have been removed from service with the installation of GPS. Their indicators probably came out as well...

I have some Overhauled KI206's available if you are interested.  I am also interested in buying the KI209A.  How much are you asking?
