MooneyMitch Posted May 4, 2017 Author Report Posted May 4, 2017 Hi ya! Last bump up of this thread this is! A little reminder if you want to come. If not, we'll do more of these just for fun . Quote
kmyfm20s Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 Unfortunately I won't be making it. Have fun! Quote
MooneyMitch Posted May 5, 2017 Author Report Posted May 5, 2017 I'm very sorry to say that based on weather forecasts, our flight to Harris Ranch is postponed. This is supposed to be about fun, without weather concerns, so we'll pass this time and plan another. Stand by for a new date! Enjoy the weekend regardless. Quote

Harris Ranch is always fun, with good food. . A suggestion: Ella's at Watsonville has good food, reasonably priced, with an outdoor seating area to watch aircraft landing and departing. Long well paved runways, and a decent transient parking area. The restaurant is open both Saturday and Sunday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Ok. Let's see how my weather cooperates. I sure don't want anyone flying to Harris if they are not comfortable with the weather. Maybe see you there then. Quote
NotarPilot Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 I might have to depart IFR from Long Beach but I think the Central Valley should be clear but there's nothing wrong with playing it by ear. Quote
NotarPilot Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 I'm showing drizzle and "showers in the vicinity" on my end on the TAFs so hopefully nothing too severe. Quote
M20FanJesse Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 Aww man but thats my girlfriends birthday! Maybe I can bring her...hahaha Quote

MooneyMitch Posted May 6, 2017 Author Report Posted May 6, 2017 Those that feel comfortable with weather.........come on tomorrow. No pressure whatsoever. Safety and comfort come first! Quote
Skates97 Posted May 6, 2017 Report Posted May 6, 2017 The forecast looks pretty good up in the central valley, but getting out of here down south in the LA area doesn't look like it will happen. I'll play it by ear, but looks like I will probably have to wait for round two on the 20th... Quote
