Hello all,

I wanted to ask if anybody here has attended the Mooney Maintenance Clinic conducted by Jerry Manthey.  There is one scheduled next month in November in San Marcos, Texas and I'm considering going.  Any opinions on the course for those who have attended?

I think it mostly depends on your background, knowledge and needs.  I found it interesting, but a little simplistic.  His "handout" book is nice to have, but most  of the information is findable in the manuals and other sources.  Overall, I'm glad I did the course, but if money was tight, I would question whether it was worth the cost.

Herb, it's definitely a beginner's course.  Honestly, I learned more during the course from the discussions I had with the other owners who were present.  Much of the info presented was dated and some based on personal opinion rather than technical documents or science.

Thanks for the input guys.  I have all the maintenance manuals with the plane and have been doing the owner assisted annuals for the last 15 years.  I thought that maybe this course would get into some really detailed stuff that maintenance manuals don't get into.
