Jerry Pressley Posted November 20, 2016 Author Report Posted November 20, 2016 shown is one of only two pieces with cracks Quote
Jerry Pressley Posted November 20, 2016 Author Report Posted November 20, 2016 Other set is from a 231 with cloth covers and cutouts in side plastic for O2. You take one set and I will use the other in my 231. not interested in selling individual pieces of interior plastics thereby rendering balance unsellable. have entire plane for parts IMG_1602.MOV Quote

Or is it for the outside of the square windows to make them appear rounded? Thanks Quote
Jerry Pressley Posted November 21, 2016 Author Report Posted November 21, 2016 It is the rounded sheet metal parts that make the windows look round, includes plastic as well. enlarge the photo Quote
Davarron Posted November 21, 2016 Report Posted November 21, 2016 That sheet metal attaches to the inside of the window and how? Nothing needed on the outside? Forgive my lack of understanding on the subject..just trying to figure out how I would go about adding it. Quote
Jerry Pressley Posted January 1, 2017 Author Report Posted January 1, 2017 You replace the existing pieces of sheet metal. drilling and riveting Quote

Wow that includes the whole interior, including the kitchen sink. Quote
carusoam Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 The seat pans look a lot like the kitchen sink! Some form of human standards showing? Best regards, -a- Quote
Jerry Pressley Posted January 5, 2017 Author Report Posted January 5, 2017 sold the entire interior. Thanks much Quote
m20j Posted January 17, 2017 Report Posted January 17, 2017 Looking at your parts planes. Are the teardrop royalite fairings that mount to the wing behind the gear doors intact by any chance? Quote
LANCECASPER Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 I doubt they use Royalite on the exterior of the Mooney, ABS maybe Quote

mooniac15u Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Royalite is a brand name for a particular type of ABS. Quote

carusoam Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 (edited) Some updated info on Royalite ABS.... http://www.polyone.com/products/rigid-sheet/structural-sheet/royalite-abs-sheet the S part of ABS doesn't fare very well over time. Hence the browning and brittleness. Some update on somebody that was fixing a set of those fiberglass fairings. There was discussion of building a mold to make some more... LANCECASPER Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 Fiberglass sounds more like it. Quote

carusoam Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 M20J, Got any pictures? People are trying to help you out. But, I think we might be describing different things... I posted a thread that has pictures of somebody fixing fiberglass parts that I think you are describing... If you have pictures it could probably help out. Best regards, -a- Quote
