TWinter Posted November 17, 2016 Report Posted November 17, 2016 Went back through the various threads and see several posts about the Rosen's. Some like and some don't. There was mention that they do not stay tight or in place? Those of you that have looked at them has there been any changes in them or do they still require some help every now and then to keep secured? My factory visors are fine and not cracked, but I do like the style and versatility of the Rosen's. Pricey, yep..but I'm still sitting on a small gift certificate for Plane Plastics that my staff gave me from last years Christmas. Won't cover the whole cost or anywhere near the cost of these, but I need to use it up and I do see Plane Plastics sell them..a slight more pricey than everywhere else I looked at, but might check and see if they will price match or discount and then apply the gift certificate.. Anyway, I like the visors..Are there still stability problems or those that do have them happy? If I pick a set up I'll have a very nice set of OEM from my E available for sale for anyone needing some replacements -Tom Quote
gsengle Posted November 17, 2016 Report Posted November 17, 2016 Not thrilled with mine. Just a bit too big and heavy. I had to put something in as my A&P broke one during the time period parts weren't easy to get.... Unless they've changed I don't recommend.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
M20F-1968 Posted November 18, 2016 Report Posted November 18, 2016 I have them. They are installed similarly to the Ovation (one bolt). I put in some additional nylon washers and tightened them down. They stay in place. They are big and I plan to cut them down to fit the shape they need to be in to provide coverage and still be easy to move around. When I store them, I put them back lengthwise along the ceiling and do not just flip them up across the area above the windshield. There are more out of the way against the ceiling lengthwise. The arm is on the outside (nearest the door and pilot's window) and the plexiglass in inboard against the ceiling. John Breda 1 Quote
