Gunderbear Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 Go to www.trutrakap.com and request that the Mooney be elected as the next aircraft to get fitted for the autopilot. 1

The reason I ask is that the literature on their website seems to indicate they are perusing ECO and Vizion models for the C172, but no mention of the sorcerer. Seems like the vizion can track vertical speed, vertical GPS guidance (LPV), and GPSS but not LOC/Nav. However the sorcerer can do LOC/Nav and everything else. I think most mooneyites that fly IFR would be more likely to be in the market for the sorcerer. Vision only at this point. However the Sorcerer uses the same servos and would be a quick upgrade once approved.
Andy95W Posted March 10, 2017 Report Posted March 10, 2017 How about S-TEC servos? My STEC 50 is going too need work soon...
Yetti Posted March 17, 2017 Report Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) And some more competition from the experimental market place getting STC for certified. http://www.trioavionics.com/ProPilot.htm Edited March 17, 2017 by Yetti
cliffy Posted March 17, 2017 Author Report Posted March 17, 2017 You will probably never see another makers servos certified with either the Trio or Trutrac A/P controller. They both come as a "system" and the cost to certify a cross platform system just isn't there. Let alone getting both companies to agree to do this! Or the FAA to agree! Both companies are in a race to see who gets there first.
testwest Posted March 19, 2017 Report Posted March 19, 2017 OK, officially asked for a Mooney M20J for Trutrak.
