N400YS Posted September 1, 2015 Report Posted September 1, 2015 Hi Guys Did you hear about this SB.... http://www.lycoming.com/Portals/0/techpublications/servicebulletins/SB621%20Fuel%20Pumps.pdf Time to check your fuel pump! Olivier France Quote
Guest Posted September 1, 2015 Report Posted September 1, 2015 Another problem with Lycoming factory parts and engines, who would have guessed? Clarence Quote
Steve65E-NC Posted September 1, 2015 Report Posted September 1, 2015 How hard would it have been to include a "built after" date. If I knew my pump was installed before that date: End of story. Now I have to go look. Quote
KSMooniac Posted September 1, 2015 Report Posted September 1, 2015 I'm glad I purchased a Tempest! Quote
jetdriven Posted September 1, 2015 Report Posted September 1, 2015 Im not sure this model pump is installed on 360 Lycomings. Mine for example, is an LW-15473 Quote
MB65E Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 I don't know how this applies to Moonys either. I looked it up today, and it didn't apply to me. LW-15473 (HI pressure) is what should be on the IO-360s and O-360s should have a LW-15472.(lower pressure) And "ALL" the criteria needs to be there for it to be effective. Odd, -Matt Quote
N601RX Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 It does apply to anyone who has a new engine or recently changed out pump. LW-15473 was discontinued a while back and superseded with 62B26931. I didn't look, but suspect the other number may be the low pressure pump. 1 Quote
