KSMooniac Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 I'm looking for an M20J engine mount that is still "straight" to use for mockup purposes. Rusty, dented, etc. is OK so long as it will still hold an engine in the proper location.
Alan Fox Posted July 24, 2015 Report Posted July 24, 2015 I have an E mount , which may be the same if I can find it
KSMooniac Posted July 24, 2015 Author Report Posted July 24, 2015 Alan, thanks but I think they're different. I know the cowl flap stuff is different, but it might not matter. What I don't know is if it locates the engine in the same location as a J mount. If you do find it, lemme know please!
M20F-1968 Posted July 25, 2015 Report Posted July 25, 2015 The E, F, and J position the engine in the same place. The same engine mount is used when you convert an E or F to a J cowling. You weld on the cowl flap harward but the rest of the mount is the same. John Breda 1
