Marauder Posted July 1, 2015 Report Posted July 1, 2015 Upon further research as long as the Dukes P/N is not 4196, the AD doesn't apply. The early J's (mine is 24-0348 1977) are supposed to have Dukes 1057 with the 40:1 gear. I had taken "need Dukes actuator inspected per AD" at face value. Thanks for helping me inch my way back towards the CheapBa$tards club which I feel I have currently self ostracized myself from. I let Henry Weber know that and am waiting to see what they say. Unfortunately the mounting bracket for the actuator is cracked and needs a doubler. So the part about leaving the motor attached is moot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The 77 Js shared a lot in common with the last of the F models from 75 & 76. Your power quadrant is an example. There is a possibility that the AD did apply but to early Js. Serial number is 348 is pretty far into the J model. Worth verifying though.. Let us know what you find out. For challenging this, you're back in the Cheap Bast$&d's Club. We would throw you a party but, well, you know the routine... Quote
kmyfm20s Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 Annual just completed and got the report back. I had to replace a tire. Stinkin' thieves! There was plenty of good tread around that flat spot:) CrownAir MSC at KMYF has always been fair and I recommend them. Even when the reports haven't been as good they have never created work or billed excessive hours. 3 Quote
bonal Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 I would kill for just one bad tire. So give us the straight poop what did those Stinkin thieves get for a M20S 310HP. Just looking for a comparison Congrats on a successful annual. Quote
kmyfm20s Posted August 4, 2015 Report Posted August 4, 2015 28 hours at $85/hr for the straight annual. Quote
