Parker_Woodruff Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 In this world a "mistake" = negligence. That is what insurance is for. I have it on my firm because I know I am fallible and if I am entrusted with a matter and cause my client harm I want that client made whole. Being made whole where a shop makes a mistake and shotgun suits where NTSB findings of pilot error mean nothing are entirely different things. Being made whole is the right thing. Punitive damages irrelevant to circumstances have hurt this industry. 1
mike_elliott Posted February 26, 2015 Report Posted February 26, 2015 Maybe we need to require lawyers to be less talented, so as to get adequate, but not outstanding results. hummm...seems like that is what happens when a lawyer becomes a politician or a judge
