Marauder Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 Which neutral density filter did you use? Quote
Marauder Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 Yeah Mike, don't be a scud missle! Quote
Hank Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 Great! Please tell us how we can do it, too. Quote
gsxrpilot Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 It's easy, just search Neutral Density Filter on Amazon. Get one to fit your camera. I use them on my GoPro's. It's just a dark filter. It serves to lower the light through the lens and thus gets the camera to slow the shutter speed to compensate. If you have a full featured video camera or if I'm shooting video with my Canon 60D, I can manually adjust the F stop to get the same effect. But on a GoPro, Contour, Garmin, etc. the f stop is automatic. So use a neutral density filter to get it to adjust its self. 1 Quote
rbridges Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 thanks for the explanation. do they all work equally well? Quote
Marauder Posted December 16, 2014 Report Posted December 16, 2014 Looks like you will want a 1.5 neutral density filter for a GoPro camera. http://www.snakeriverprototyping.com/ 1 Quote
gsxrpilot Posted December 18, 2014 Report Posted December 18, 2014 Any one will work, I just buy the cheapest I can find on Amazon. The brightness of the day also makes a difference so no need to be exact. Quote
