Culver LFA Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 What's the deal with the Bruce's cover you have listed on ebay? Give me a call or shoot me an email on that, glad you got it back! 1
carusoam Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Silent, Did you capture the gear ratio with that? 20:1 and 40:1 are the choices if I recall correctly...? That may be an important question for somebody. Best regards, -a-
outermarker Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 is it the motor that goes bad (4196-00-1C) or the gearbox (3214-00)? who rebuild these two units and has them in stock? When can these two items be bought? Is whats being offered an overhaul/upgrade kit?
carusoam Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 The 20:1 gear ratio over works the motor. Essentially, the combination of the two doesn't work very well. The fix is the 40:1 ratio. I am a PP with an old fuzzy memory. Check your details carefully. Best regards, -a-
silent101 Posted February 21, 2015 Author Report Posted February 21, 2015 Still have this for sale. The buyer ended up backing out. Can be bought anytime. This is essentially an overhaul kit. The 20:1 ratio works fine. either way you must inspect them every 200 hrs. The 20:1 need to be replaced sooner than 40:1 but i have seen 2000+ hrs on 20:1 and they are still in good shape. What happens is the worm gear will wear but STILL wears on the 40:1 ALSO. Just slower.
