Bob, I stop by Spruce sometimes. However, I've found that I can get oil cheaper at oil-store.com, including shipping. Lenoir Fuel and Ice in Lenoir also carries oil for some of the locals. However, I still believe oil-store is cheaper.

Check your local area. Where I live I was able to find an oil distributor that sells me cases for a little less than any price on the internet that I found and there are no shipping charges because I drive and pick it up. This method won't be practical for everybody, but some of us.

Same here, they say stuff is in stock, you order it and then they tell you the lead time. They were awesome maybe 4 years ago when they had their own warehouse in NY. Now days they have some shared partnership with Aviall and everything comes out if Avialls where house in Dallas. I HATE Aviall because stuff is so hard to find on the website and they won't give you a catalog. Skygeek is ok for finding neat or hard to find PN's. Their search engine with google is pretty good.

 

Can you order online directly to Aviall? The only thing I ever got from Sky Geek is my brake parts because they were the only online source I could find that would sell me the individual brake parts instead of the entire assembly. The parts ultimately came from Aviall. My one and only dealing with Sky Geek went fine. They shipped the parts when they said they would.

I thought you had to have an aviation based business before you could establish an account to order from them?
