No, while many voted for him and hoped for better, most disagree with the policies he advances. He threw numbers around last light big enough to drive a truck through....like a crack addict who the lottery. GOP? 80% of the under-employed (I know...we forgot 17% of Americans are still looking for a job) back to work again. People don't buy the hope shit anymore.....they want results. And the 12% in the middle? They are done with him and anyone who thinks like him.

John,

You have never once during this entire discussion showed me one GOP proposed policy that benefits me or anyone I know. Not one. Does GOP even have a policy other than the Keystone pipeline (which nobody actually wants to build anymore) and lower taxes for Mitt and asthma for everyone else? I follow politics pretty close and have never heard anything else but lower taxes, balance the budget (mutually exclusive) and freedom for zygotes. Anything else? I forgot to mention more guns.

Lower taxes, thriving economy, people back to work. I innumerated and explained to you in a rather long post a few pages back. I'd refer you to that. These policies work and business thrives. The simplicity of such policies boggle your mind, because the work. Read my post.

Watch the zygote BS or I'll unload on you.

I lied. There is always prayer in school and elimination of biology teachers, if at all possible...

It's sort of a wash since the elimination of biology teachers opens up space for revisionist history teachers.

Go ahead, unload. Proud member of friends of planned parenthood of the heartland. There is nothing I despise more than religious right meddling in private family decisions in order to supply more canon fodder. Legalized abortion and birth control has done amazing thing to lower the crime rate in this country. I can only imagine what the place would be like with another 30 million poor unwanted, uneducated masses.

You cannot lower taxes anymore on people who don't pay any. If you lower my taxes, I'm not all of the sudden going to go blow more money. I'll just put more away.

Your long post also included the Reagan tax act of 1981 ( a complete fiscal disaster) and the Bush tax cuts, another fiscal disaster.

Reagan had to raise taxes 6 times after that, and presided over the biggest budget deficit in history for a few years. Tripled the national debt. And he is the poster child for "good conservative values"

The Bush tax cuts did much the same thing. A trillion dollars of reduced revenues, and then another 50B a year for Medicare Part D, and 1.1 trillion for the Iraq war (Saddam WMD, right) 6 trillion over time, and another 4-6 trillion for Afghanistan.  So all this spending, and no tax increases to pay for it, and the biggest critics of the national debt are conservatives?

Thinking this figure was odd, I searched on it and came up with this as his source:

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2014/01/10/stunning_92_million_americans_not_working

that 92 million number, is sourced to a link to a former Rush post, which mentions 91 million Americans not working, and no data whatsoever. Which really sounds Suspect, Rush quoting himself as a source in which it doesnt say anything. But his followers blindly believe anything that comes from his mouth. So, where is the real source for the "92 million" people not working?

Yeap, 35 year long hangover, but it will be Obama's policies we will be recovering from for next 10 years according to John.

I love listening to him, especially when he takes calls. I get a big kick out of it when the caller starts out by saying "Rush, this is the greatest honor I've ever had in my life, you are truly a great American", usually spoken with a drawl that makes the person incomprehensible.

I wasn't able to watch (not that I would have had I been home anyway), who was in the "Gallery"?

Mike , sure you have seen the news bite of POTUS proclaiming he won the ;last two elections, right? He should boast, because it really speaks to all of his abilites.

Ain't buying it. Image a Jimmy Carter win with 17% interest rates and 6% inflation. Debt? Again....how did we do with that stimulus? Please.

nah lets talk about the financial effects of the Reagan and Bush tax cuts, since they were your example of conservative policies that benefitted the middle class.

I'm in San Francisco this week on business, so I haven't turned the TV on at all. Most of my free time at night has been taken up by deciding which restaurant to choose.

Well, then, why aren't you walking around with a big "I love Obama" hat? 2% interest rates and zero real inflation. Everything I looked at today is cheaper than ever.

home of the employee healthcare surcharge on the restaurant bill. I'd be for it if the money actually went to the employees instead of the business owners. Interesting read, if you got time.

Bakery Tartine, if you love your sweets. Bar Tartine is pretty awesome too. Ad Hoc rocks. Brava Bar de Tapas. La Ciccia. Pico. Barbacco. Poggio. Ramen Shop. Sushi Ran. Brother's Korean BBQ. Swan Oyster Depot.

If you've got a car, head over to Yountville, and eat at Bouchons for lunch and then hit the bakery for most surreal french bread you will have on this side of the pond.

I have wasted a lot of my life chilling in San Francisco...

Did you buy a new home 2002-2007? Betcha did.

Last but not least John, if I recall correctly, Obama did propose $235 billion in tax cuts. Why are you not celebrating. Tax cuts exactly where they would do something for the economy.

I know...a $3k child care deduction is really gonna rev the economy.

Spoken like a typical obtuse wealthy GOPer who has no idea what an extra $3000 (yes, it's a credit not a deduction) can mean to a family. That's a new roof right then and there. A newer, more dependable car. At least I know where you're coming from. Typical GOPer dribble when presented with an actual solution to move the economy forward. And this one even lowers taxes. Why can't you just admit that you cannot stand Obama, or any other Democrat. You hate poor people and are clearly superior to them, all due to your life choices, not genetics (considering your business, it's about 100% DNA) and lament their clear lack of morals which were handed down to you from capitalist, hit both cheeks Jesus.

Or as some Regressive's would say, a supplement to their welfare check and EBT card.

This is where you don't get it...... I'd rather see that family make another $20-40K a year in upward mobility and about twice as many new daycare operations opening. I am in show biz.... I can tell you what it is like to buy a half turkey on the discount rack on Sunday night and nibble on it for a week. Don't patronize me on wealth.

How about bread bags on your feet. How was that like? Or was is just turkey or bread, not both. I really want to see where that $20K to $40K of upward mobility comes from in the country that scores lower in upward mobility than any other OECD country. Maybe we have the lowest upward mobility precisely because many cannot afford childcare and school. Look, Obama just solved your problem. Now if we only had real sex ed, maybe they wouldn't have children at 18 so they wouldn't need these things, but since we don't (thank Jesus™), the only way anyone is going to be upwardly mobile is with a little bit of help. His solutions are precisely about upward mobility.
