funvee Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 I've read the other threads about the hoskins units ... everyone else seems to have the 701295-3 but I have the 701295-1... Does anyone know the difference between them? I would like to find a direct replacement or a Whellen conversion but nobody seems to list the -1 on their conversion tables or in the threads talking about it. Also, if anyone knows what is required to convert to whellen, I'd appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thanks, Shawn Quote
OR75 Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 I believe the -1 cannot be synced ( no yellow wire to sync the 2 strobes) The wheelen do not sync so it should not matter 1 Quote
jetdriven Posted May 19, 2014 Report Posted May 19, 2014 Swap the black and white wires as detailed on page 5 of the manual. You can use an A490 series 12v or 12/24v unit. The TCCF units are the newest. We have this combo, it looks a little funny as one wingtip flashes once while the other flashes 3 times. http://www.whelen.com/pb/Aviation/Catalog%20Price%20Lists%20and%20Manuals/Anti-Collision_Light_Systems_Installation_and_Service_Manual.pdf 1 Quote
