Roger O Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 Hi Everyone, as you might have read from some of my posts, I am in the market for a good clean E, F or J depending on how its configured (cost, TTE, avionics, etc.) to replace my C. Does anyone know of an individual (or company) that for a fee will scout out the best Mooney out there based on my specs? It sure would save a heck of a lot of time, energy and frustration. Thanks! Roger
KSMooniac Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 There are some advertising in the MAPA Log if you're a member. All American Aircraft and Strategic Aircraft come to mind immediately...there are others though.

Roger Hi Roger, I highly recommend Nick Eberling at New Heights Aviation. He has a flat fee for helping you locate an airplane. I guarantee you will be over the top impressed with his service. I used him to help me sell my J model and to acquire a Baron. He is the consummate professional. His contact email is: nicholas.eberling@gmail.com If you have any questions feel free to PM me. snikle Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 Sherman18, where are you located? I am in the Dallas, Texas area and would like to get into a partnership also.
Marauder Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 Sherman - I have an F that you would want. I will take the user fee - but I'm not selling! I would join MAPA if are not a member and run an ad to look for one. Sent using Tapatalk 1
carusoam Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 If you want to search from all of the Mooneys available, I'm with Brett. If you want an interesting day to select which Mooney is best for you, I'm with S from Ks. AAA @ KSAT has a whole bunch of the nicest examples. J,K,M,R,S.... Use caution when visiting AAA. It is easy to fall in love with fast machinery. Best regards, -a-

Always wondered why any seller wouldn't already be actively listing their aircraft on the public rags/boards. Robert
Roger O Posted May 7, 2014 Author Report Posted May 7, 2014 snikle, I am from Western Connecticut, and really want to own the plane myself, I have had partnerships, and although they may work for some, I am much too anal to want anyone else flying my baby! Marauder, your F is absolutley gorgeous!, but didn't your Mama teach you that it is not nice to tease?! Roger 1

Marauder, your F is absolutley gorgeous!, but didn't your Mama teach you that it is not nice to tease?! Roger I have seen a few partnerships go both way. In many ways, I think it is worse that finding a compatible spouse. When they work, it is awesome, when it doesn't, no so much... Sorry about the tease, my hand is still shaking from writing the check. Who in the right mind would put that much into a 40 year old vehicle. Only a Mooniac would!
carusoam Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 I'm sure she did! The guys that know about Mooneys before they go on the market are typically the MSCs who are doing the maintenance on them, and know the owners. Or AAA, a company that specializes in Mooneys and customer service. Owners go there to trade up or around for their next Mooney. Find a Mooney fly-in. Some of the coolest people on and off the planet's surface meet for lunch occasionally... It's nice to see you have ownership experience, a need for speed, and a desire for efficiency. Start up a conversation with any of those people. It would help if you have a wish list put together with the specifics that you want. Some of these companies are able to help with PPI arrangements, finance arrangements, annuals and panel and engine updates. I prefer to buy my stuff first, with an independent PPI. Then update after the first annual is out of the way. If you buy a newer plane with lower hours, that's been kept indoors, your risk of finding challenges is probably lower. My second Mooney was 30 years newer than my first. The first one lived outside, the second one, indoors... Big differences. Best regards, -a-
FlyDave Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 I 2nd, 3rd or 4th (not sure what we're up to at this point) AAA. Jimmy Garrison is a no BS kind of guy. I traded my J for a Bravo in December of last year with him and the airplane was exactly as represented. See my post under the subject "Turbocharge me" in the Mooney Bravo forum.
