orionflt Posted April 4, 2014 Report Posted April 4, 2014 I have 4 for a 62' C but I believe they changed styles around 65 Quote
carusoam Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Parts manual indicates 67F MAY use... Transmitter Assembly, fuel quantity. 610161 LH 610160 RH These are F only. C,D, and E use a different part number... I am not a qualified source, so check your numbers carefully. Hope that helps..., -a- Quote
Mooney-Shiner Posted May 9, 2022 Report Posted May 9, 2022 Its crazy how close these fuels senders in specs and appearance to antique 1930-s Chevy fuel senders. https://www.classicchevy.com/chevy-gas-tank-sending-unit-all-except-station-wagon-and-sedan-delivery-1949-1952-80-244983-1.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=&scid=scplp80-244983-1&sc_intid=80-244983-1&gclid=CjwKCAjw9-KTBhBcEiwAr19ig1bTNW9sEpOVEct-GLBF84VQq0gaiCZKqEpG_08M8UlqWQA083-FjBoCY7cQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Quote

A while back, I bought one just to see. Their resistance characteristics are very similar. 1 Quote

But I decided to go with CIES since I'm installing JPI 900. I just wish there was somesort of the discount for CIES. $1700 for four senders is a tough pill. Quote
Shiny moose Posted May 12, 2022 Report Posted May 12, 2022 I have all 4, they worked fair when removed. 1 Quote
Mooney-Shiner Posted May 15, 2022 Report Posted May 15, 2022 I have all 4, they worked fair when removed. I already ordered CIES unfortunately. Otherwise I would’ve bought yours. What did you install instead? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Shiny moose Posted May 16, 2022 Report Posted May 16, 2022 I installed rebuilt orginals, work good just not as good as CIES i suppose Quote

I have a ‘62 also and need to get mine rebuilt. I’ve talked to CIES and theirs don’t work with original factory multi gage. If I had two to rebuild I could swap during an annual and shorten the downtime. Quote

0TreeLemur Posted May 18, 2022 Report Posted May 18, 2022 I've got two old fuel senders that I bought a while back. Just in the past month or so the R.H. sender in our C has decided to get jumpy. I see in the parts manual that the R.H. is P/N 5641991. These senders don't have part numbers on them that I can discern. Which one is the R.H. sender? I'd guess that the bent arm with the float on it points aft? I could send one of these in to Air Parts of Lockhaven for an o.h. Thx. Quote
PT20J Posted May 21, 2022 Report Posted May 21, 2022 I have four senders that I removed from a M20J. The right two work perfectly. The left two need rebuilding due to intermittent resistance readings verified after removal. I'd sell the right two for $50 each ($100 total + shipping) and throw in the left two for free since they need work. Quote
N9405V Posted May 21, 2022 Report Posted May 21, 2022 Just order new ones from CIES and be done with it. You’ve got the plane pulled apart, not is the easiest time to upgrade them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
