  1. Robert, Congratulations! Just be careful with gusty approaches. Where I live I have to deal normally with 18+ knots winds and gusts of 25+. So I always try to come in with a bit of margin to compensate for them. Oscar
  2. Yes, it is a beautiful place! The problem is the violence... But It is going to be hard to go back. Oscar
  3. Well, not really... Mateo is my third son... and the two older ones could not care less about flying... not even if lunch is part of the plan. But at least Mateo is telling me: Daddy when can we go again... and that makes my day! So next weekend we have an airshow in Guatemala and I am taking him up again.
  4. I got my new co-pilot... I am happy...

  5. And another one of volcanos and my son Mateo's first flight.
  6. Finally I was able to convince my wife to take Mateo my 4 year old flying... and he LOVED it... So I have a co-pilot....
  7. Nice! Congratulations Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  8. Thanks! I will include some more panel shots...
  9. I flew a ILS approach into Flores Peten and taped it. This time around I found everything where it was supposed to be...
  10. No, I think they are gone for ever... I liked the landing one...
  11. I use SV on the Aspen. The 795 I use mainly for traffic and approach charts.

  16. Thank you for all the suggestions, I will look into this today and share with you the results.
  17. Guys here I am again with a question: I own a M20C, as I mentioned before in this forum i upgraded my panel significantly. After putting everything back together again, there are some little squawks that surfacing that i would like to have a second opinion before I embark in some money spending.... The question is related to the intrument cluster in my Mooney (see picture). a. Before starting the upgrade both fuel indicators were working perfectly well. After the upgrade they stopped working. The shop that did the installation says that I need new senders, but I am just puzzled how two senders could fail at the same time... So any ideas? What could be going on? b. The Ammeter stopped working just before the upgrade. I would like to make it work agaiin, so does somebody know where I could get a new probe? c. The CHT is not working, so the engine probe may have gone bad. Does somebody know where I could get a new probe? d. My voltage regulator can not be adjusted (it charges either 13 Volts or 16), any recommendations what I should buy to replace it? I promise a new video in return to some answers... http://mooneyspace.com/gallery/image/33554-/
  18. The honey get it done list is dangerous! I always wonder why they can not understand that sometimes you just like to "hang out" (quoting my teenage son)...
  19. I see this problem all the time at my current home base. Most of the traffic are Embraer 195, 320 and 737s. Several times I was told to do 360s for traffic. Not a big deal...
  20. Interesting.... I did not know that. I will try it out with my STEC
  21. Dear Heinz, Vielen Dank! BTW cool picture. Oscar
  22. Fair enough. I had not thought about the pressure differential and that may have been one of the reasons why I lost the camera... (in addition to the rain).
  23. Dear Heinz, enjoy sunny Florida. I will be there in February to teach a course in tampa. Regarding your questions: I do not use the remote control to stop and start the camera. I prefer not to be distracted and I just turn on the camera before I start the plane and then after I land I turn it off. The Battery lasts for about 2 to 3 hours so no problem what so ever. For ediing purposes I use final cut pro (a Mac program) it works well, but a bid of an overkill. I was told that you could also use i-movie, which is simpler and cheaper... I have not used the go pro editing software.
  24. Dear Heinz, no I just let them run and then I edit the videos.
