  1. Let me add my congrats also. Well done. Be safe out there. One thing I learned from very experienced pilots is to always have personal minimums. Its also important to review, and change them every so often.
  2. I assume the climb data at 72,000 ft is also applicable to the Mooney?
  3. If you let us know which model your flying, and if the info your seeking is aircraft specific or general knowledge that would help. You are free to contact me off board @ co2bruce@bellsouth.net
  4. I noticed Aviatorweb's bear picture and my wife and I keep a small clip on Koala Bear in all our cars, and the Mooney for good luck. He has kept us safe for many years (in adition to recurrent training). How many others have a flying / driving mascot to keep them company?
  5. Thanks Hank. Thats thread is where I got the idea from. The actual clamp number, with the arm size was not mentioned. I went ahead and ordered the mount, thanks for the quick response.
  6. I currently have an Ipad 2 and suction mount. This really isn't working for me, and I am going to get an Ipad Mini and mount it to the yoke. For charts, and approach plates this seems ideal. I have an Eagle and I was wondering if someone could give me Ram part numbers for what I will need. (arm length especially). I thank you all in advance. Once I'm finished I will have an Ipad 2 (in like new condition) I will be selling if anyone is interested. Bruce Spencer N2107B KPMP
  7. It will need to fit in the door, or baggage door. That will be smaller than the baggage area. Measure twice, buy once. I wish my dog would fly with me.
  8. I looked at the Trinidads before buying my Eagle. The turbo will do 160, the standard will not. You are also correct, some parts are readily available, many are not ( like Mooney). Socata is a very well made airplane and they have a great forum site (socata.org) I think. Check over there.
  9. Happy Holidays to my Mooney family. Please lets all be safe this year.
  10. You will be fine in the Mooney. I believe Al Mooney was well over 6 ft. I am 230 lbs 5'10". With only a 30" inseam ( so I'm all torso) and the plane fits me like a glove. Where are you located, I'm sure a member will let you sit in one.
  11. Missile (sorry)
  12. I think the Rocket and Middle is just that.
  13. Well there you go, you can up your insurance policy for her, ummmmm I forgot we were thinking about a present for you..
  14. Your not thinking, what if 2 or 3 people win? Your jackpot would be reduced and you may not get your money back. I read an article that you would be better off buying undervalued Blue Chip stocks with your 2.00 per week. Over the long run you woudl be way ahead.
  15. 10 - 12 thousand. Altitude is your friend.
  16. Thanks Craig , your the man.
  17. What's with all this spam??
  18. There is someone in Daytona Beach that people here speak highly of. I'm not sure of the shop but someone will chime in.
  19. They did my pre buy and were very thorough. I would recommend them, speak to Ray.

  21. I fly an Eagle, and the POH specifies using the Low boost pump during tank change. I have changed tanks with and without it, there doesn't seem to be any difference. High boost is only ised to prime a cold engine in the Eagle. Not sure about Missile.
  22. Thanks a lot! That's 3 hours I'll never get back..............LOL I'm such an airplane junkie,,,, I need help desperately.
