  1. When I had my B model , I made them out of the wire scat tubing clamps , they lasted until I sold the plane.... My E model came with about 5 extras new in the plastic , so I am good for a while....
  2. They are worth 3 to 5 K depending on total time and blade chord (Life(overhauls left))...

  4. My Bonanza had the last 10 or 12 annuals done there before I purchased it , the average annual was about 7K , use your own judgement....
  5. I spoke to Randy at East Coast propellor , He said the fix is not a great repair , He said that Macauley did this years ago and still have trouble keeping oil in the hubs .... As a former Macauley owner in my Beech , I did replace a prop for leaking red dye , The ECI inspections are cheap in the grand scheme of things, and I am doing the ECI inspections in my Mooney.... Also My mooney has less than 100 hours on the prop overhaul , So I will not redo the hub.... If someone trys to knock 7 k off for a B hub , They are not a real buyer , They are a tire kicker...

  9. No offense but powerflow exhausts don't do squat , The Carb engine is so much easier than the IO , try hot starting an IO360 and you will miss your O360 trust me.... I hate IO360 fuel injection....
  10. My B had the infamous dog house , Just remove the cover , and save 1 piece of the assy , like one of the vents that cool the mags....I made it in two hours and it worked great , Im guessing the top cover failed as that is the weak point....

  12. Bendix King does not support the screens anymore for this unit , If your screen fails , its junk...
  13. Than I must have a slow E 150 indicated sounds very fast for an E....
  14. All I know is that my S35 cruises at 165 knots indicated 2500 msl at 16gph and carries 1270 useful load....My friends A36 with 15 more HP burns 17 and indicates about 155 knots 2500 msl , My Mooney "E" indicates about 135 Knots 2500 MSL and burns a little more than 10 gph...
  15. V tail is faster because there is less surface area in the two tail surfaces verses the three surfaces , There is substantially more surface area to a 201 type windshield than a 20C type windshield , hence more more surface area = More parasitic drag.....

The one piece is a cheap option , it takes out the huge vertical center piece from the middle , and improves forward visibility , improved safety from better visibility , Although the old design is not as sloped , it is far from "Vertical" , The benefit from the slope is negated by the increased drag , more surface area equals more drag..... It looks cool , but you lose most of the access to the instruments and avionics.....The Beech owners groups did tests on the beech speed slope windshields and no increase in speed ..... But they look great...... I had a B model I did like 8 speed mods to , and netted about 8 MPH , 4 or five were from the cowl closure, and in hind sight , It would have been the only one wort doing....

  19. Chrome is not legal , as the spinner can crack and the chrome can remain in tact and hide cracks...
  20. The 201 windshield is for looks .... There is virtually no speed increase and you lose the awesome access to the panel.....also it is a lot more than 500 dollars to install a 201 glass , In my opinion 9 hrs to install a one piece is a fantastic deal , A cowl closure will give you the best speed increase , about 5 to 6 mph , the Flap gaps will give a little too , everything else is a joke when you consider the expense vs the speed gain.....
