  1. I got 2 GI275's with a KAP150. Flys GPSS from the 530. Sorry for the dark picture.
  2. I have the same issue with mine and haven't had any luck with the salvage yards.
  3. Skip sent you a PM.
  4. I want to piggyback on the previous post above, asking a little more specificity. I have an 89 J, 28 volt, with a blower fan set up like the one in the Parts Manual, section 39-40-01, page 0, number 4, 8414, Fan PAPST. This fan probably came with the plane as I see no record of any avionics cooling fan in the logs. It has three scat tubes (one with a tee) coming from the box and it blows cabin air at a very low rate. Would like to replace the fan, however type in 8414 PAPST fan in google and a number of variations come up. Has anyone bought one, from who, and can guide me in my quest?
  5. Chris, As usual great video, my wife and I enjoyed it. We fly to Ocean City, NJ (26N) for breakfast and a walk on the boardwalk and next flight we are going to add a jog north and see the city. Thanks
  6. Took an "almost" trip to the West coast Tues and Wed of this week. Wife feeling bad, so took a Covid test and was positive, we turned around in TX. Anyway: fuel prices, VA. $6.00, TN $7.61, AR $6.18, TX. $7.60, AR. $5.24, and KY. $5.48. A mix of full service FBO's to Self Serve.
  7. After reading all the "mission creep," responses, I did what rgpilot did, except I didn't remove it. Just sprayed it down, two or three times, and now do so every annual. Just make sure the contact cleaner is safe for plastics.
  8. Since WEMAC came up, I am still looking for the 90 degree elbow that comes with (behind) the vent. Per the M20J Parts Catalog, Part # 45, Section 21-40-00, Figure 11 (SHT 1 of 2), Page 0. Part # 640300-007 Adapter Assy. Anyone out there have one or ideas how to fabricate?
  9. Planning a trip out to the west coast now, will use some FBO's / Airports from previous trips, but still use AirNav and Foreflight. Read all the comments, call and verify. Look at MS for ideas, alternatives, etc., you never know what might be 50 nm down the route of flight,
  10. Antenna outside works for me also. I have a bifold door I ran my antenna wire through the hinge area.
  11. Have/had the same issue, though intermittent. GI275's replaced a KI252A and a KI258 on a KAP150 back in June. Mine did and periodically does the same, however, as with Lancecasper: "when it would level off at full power as I was getting things set up for cruise it would porpoise a little. (Even to the point of thinking of) ... taking it back to a shop that had the ability to align it, but I never did since once I pulled back power for cruise I didn't get any porpoising so the settings must have been close." 12. Boxing day saw me taking my youngest two granddaughters, along with their mother (my youngest) on their first ride. From HEF to ESN for breakfast, out over the Chesapeake Bay. Great day for Papa!!!!
  13. I am and have been with Global. Thanks
  14. Have to agree with Mike, same scenario with me also.
  15. Got my 2022 quote this week. Premium went up $22.00. $2306.00 for 2022 from $2284.00 for 2021. Could be worse!
  16. Also a thumbs up for KC and Terry. Helped me a few times, knowledgeable and reasonable.
  17. It’s that time of year again. I just sent in my renewal form for my insurance (hear we go again). Let’s hope it is not the Christmas surprise I really didn’t expect. Age is 72, with Basic Med., Commercial, ASEL, with Instrument. Have a current Flight Review and IPC. In the last 12 months I flew 103 hrs. (as of 11/17), 15.8 hrs. dual. I have 246.5 hrs. M20J, 701.7 Complex, 1913.8 total time. 1989 M20J, hangared at KHEF, KAP 150 AP, 530 WAAS, GI275 AI, GI 275 HIS, GPSS, Stormscope, CGR-30P, etc., etc.. Last year: $2,284.00, with $125,000.00 ground and flight, $1,000,000.00 each occurrence and $100,000.00 each passenger. Some are just standard, but for discussion sake. Last claim was 04/20/2009, $79,000.00 (report attached, if interested). I think that covers everything, anyone have a guess as to the quote? 20090420 201JT.pdf
  18. Looks good, going to be a LOOOOOONG take off roll, though!!!
  19. "Visors by Muncy" was a joke comment. Search DonMuncy a contributor to this forum. Again, a very good product.
  20. Installed my new visors yesterday. Got them from that Texas Mooney shop, "Visors by Muncy." Had a set of Rosens in another plane and these are easier to install, with an outstanding price, and they work great. Thanks, Don!
  21. .45???
  22. Frozen bottle of water (to sip), and trail mix (not the healthy stuff, the M&M kind).
  23. A pat on the cowl and a "thanks!" And a variation on Hanks comment from an old USMC Warrant Officer, "With all due respect sir, get the right size glass, sit down, and lets work this out!"
  24. Anybody, have one ? Mooney part #: 640300-007 Goes to the pilots side knee air vent. Thanks
