  1. PM David please. Thanks
  2. The drawback of going high this time of year seems to be that the Bravo heater struggles to keep up when you get into colder than -40 or so, and then getting ice on the inside of the screens and windows starts to become an issue, wish someone had an easy fix for this - anyone? Don't have this problem in Southwest Texas :)
  3. Ha ha. So are motorcycles, horses, snow skiing, skateboarding, beenie babys, and stepping out of a shower. When people make all sweeping statements such as reported, I just smile and wave. Ignorance is bliss I say. May he blissfully fly the CRJ well, and let his ignorance shine.
  4. Outstanding. Pilot made up her mind, and so it shall be.
  5. Quote: Capt_CrashN_Burn Aaah! so is there an STC that allows you to put Ovation landing gear on a 252??
  6. The increase if from 'modern' landing gear. The gear is the same as an Ovation, where the 252 is not. If I had my druthers, I would pick the Encore over the 252 but I would not ever kick a 252 out of bed.
  7. Welcome again. Is that the ex Matt Kenseth plane?
  8. Okay guys, let's help the Doc here find his new speedster. He wants more speed and room than his Bravo provides so a Type S Acclaim is not the answer. Hmmmmm, time to go do some searches. Mcstealth ps Doc, you need some Leo Davinci's on your 996. Add a chip and a re-mapping and you have something to fight those GSX-R's with.
  9. When Mooney did own the type cert for the Eurocoupe, they worked on the twin boom, by trying to eliminating it. My Fathers last entry in his log book before he quit flying, was flying this single boom Mooney/Eurocoupe, working down the hours for certification. The certification never happened obviously.
  10. Quote: drstephensugiono I, too, had a tiger before the Bravo. you are in the right direction! TBM next!
  11. Quote: rbridges I'm happy to go take a look, what are the specifics ?
  12. Quote: jax88 If I actually hear you on the radio, you're one step closer to being safe than some of the yahoos up there. I hate turning base and finding unexpected (unannounced) company.
  13. Try 'Castaways' They have a couple of signature dishes and are okay with their prices. My humble opinion. Sell that plane yet?
  14. Our beloved Dugosh is in need of an experienced AP, preferrably with Mooney experience This has not been advertised I do not believe. They have eight or ten planes in the hanger and need a mechanic.
  15. Quote: Magnum I just had my exhaust system overhauled... 1.800 US$. I think it is not the heat, it is the excess of oxygen that reduces lifetime when flying LOP.
  16. Quote: Greg_D Larry, I am here. What can I answer for you? Send a PM if the information is potentially sensitive. Greg
  17. Kerrville has a good one. $100 as of last month.
  18. Thanks for all the replys. Going for my checkride next week. David
  19. Here we were, my CFII and I, training, and he pulls the power, and the airport is not an option. We are in his 172, 180hp trainer and I trim to 70kts. I pick a field, I'm to high. I change fields, and I am high again. I line up a third field and,he gets on me for not circiling the first field. Well, is it a sin to change my chosen landing area? David
  20. Quote: FlyingAggie To the OP, This one has lots of bells and whistles: http://www.aso.com/listings/spec/ViewAd.aspx?utm_source=Alerts&id=129245
  21. Congratulations
  22. Oh sure, we all are going to poke holes in a Muncy explanation.
