  1. My Friend who just got his private, has been approached on his home field to partner in what I believe is an E model. My 45 hour friend who has done his training in a 150, is unsure about about the transition and cost. What could he realistically expect in costs, airplane excluded? What start up, what insurance issues, what transition, etc. Assuming the plane is okay, what will it take for him to get there? The plane fits the mission to a T... Thanks in advance, McStealth
  2. Maxwell or Dugosh, take your pick.
  3. Not to start a war of words, but, isn't 50 ROP exactly not where we are supposed to run these engines, or have I been reading this site wrong? Mcstealth
  4. Broke down and bought one for the wife. She loves it. It won't bring up the 'key pad' if I want to post a reply on Mooney Space. It does allow the 'reply' function to load but when it is time to write out a response, the keypad will not pop up in the response field. Any thoughts? David
  5. Quote: Daniel Mike, I fly two G1000 equipped airplanes. The Mooney has SVT and the TBM does not. When flying the Mooney, I notice it, but it changes nothing. When flying the TBM I forget that it isn't even there. All of which means that it is pretty but of questionable value. I would not have bought it on my own, but the Mooney was used and came with SVT installed.

  9. If you could build, there is an airpark here in Kerrville called Silver Oaks. Has some lots for sale, and a two or three hanger houses also for sale. Nice strip and KERV is a touch and go away. The Hill Country of Texas is a well known retierment area with lots of medical because of it. Another community is Tierra Linda. Don't remember its sign. It has a paved strip and large hangar, also a touch and go away from KERV, and some beautiful homes in it.

  15. Quote: Cris The Eagle with the 310 hp STC will hold 106 gals. by simply modifying the fuel restictors. That's more flight time than my bladder will handle. Of course I'm old really old.
  16. Saw your plane. Wondered who's it was. Nice.
  17. Saw a brief news clip that weather had damaged planes in Lakeland Fl. Anyone have more details?
  18. The airport in Soldatna is a sight. Never seen so many GA planes in one spot.
  19. Quote: JimR Try Don Maxwell. It looks like he recently restored an M10. Maybe he has parts. Welcome to MooneySpace, by the way. To my knowledge, you're our first posting Cadet owner. I wish that there were more of you here. Jim http://www.aso.com/listings/spec/ViewAd.aspx?id=133514&listingType=true&IsInternal=True&dealerid=
  20. Quote: Parker_Woodruff There is one of these on our Field. It is very cool looking. Distinct but not gaudy. I really like it. Lets see if I can get a picture.
  21. Quote: Mcxmike I flew our Rocket almost every week back & forth from Florida to Chicago (266 times) over a six year period. I found it to be a fast, econonomical & stable cruiser with little maintanence problems. Its a great package!
