  1. Delete those other threads Nube...
  2. ALWAYS financially savvy to buy what you want (spending a little more in acquisition) vs. building and paying for parts and labor to get exactly what you want.
  3. If Ifs and buts were nuts, we’d all have food for life...
  4. There were multiple PFM’s flying at “Flugfest” in Germany as recently as 2018. There is YouTube video of the event. If you search Mooney PFM there are multiple takeoff and flyby videos. The sound is VERY nice coming out of the PFM. Too bad the marriage ended in divorce and destruction...Could of been something special in “fully developed form”. Both entities survive to fight on with paddles needed for Mooney and SUV’s providing the cash infusion for Porsche...as well as Audi/VW merger.
  5. The interior/Engine Controls were beautiful and ahead of their time. The longbody PFM was underpowered and was a sales nightmare when stacked up next to a J.
  6. The hurricane was a convenient “out” for Porsche. I feel bad for owners. NOT Porsche’s “finest hour”.
  7. The UL makes the conversion planes NOT appealing. I would like to hear a Porsche powered PFM. Would be fun to go for a flight in the “orphan”. Ownership? No thanks.
  8. She’s a prop. A “on the spectrum” useful idiot to be paraded by those that gain from her use as a prop. She is PURE politics and truly represents an agenda. Perfect “here” as she or whatever pronoun she rolls with is tasteless. When mainstream is done getting their last bit of flesh from her stink eye she will be, like a roadside carcass, driven over until she blows away in the wind...
  9. Well, one that is built by “other guys and gals”... *response to my own thoughts above
  10. If there is a better single for getting somewhere with the ones you love and stuff I don’t know what it is. Marvelous! The prop, the paint, the stance. A wonderful airplane that no doubt flies right, because it looks right. Congratulations on your wonderful acquisition. Love it.
  11. Low blow and kind of bush league. It’s a choice buddy boy. Watch ads or not. Sheesh...
  12. Parts support for existing owners and patience were my take-aways. All good in my world.
  13. Or you could read the letter from the new ownership that discussed the priorities...
  14. Correct me if I am wrong, but weren’t you the guy that said your family is afraid to fly with you and that GA was dying in a previous thread? Market had already spoken Chute won and sales had decided? Perhaps I am wrong on this...I will have to go back to the “call me a wimp” post and re-read. Always good to keep perspective on history. History if not learned from is likely to repeat itself. Mooney should certainly look at history and reality as they chart a course for the future of the company. Last time a pressurized airframe was tried...They died. Last time they went all in for speed...they died. Last time they went long body and eliminated a more affordable cost option...they died. History can be a wonderful guide when plotting a course to a long term sustainable future. History is history. Unless you are the one re-writing the books and burning a few pesky outliers that tell “the wrong story”. Gear/Cabin/Weight/Chute/Avionics ALL areas that make PERFECT sense to me in looking at history and what is needed for a successful course to the future. Fossil fuels are the “BIG” what if in the scenario. Some want ‘em GONE in 20. Maybe we will have a MUCH lighter battery by then. THAT would be a game changer.
  15. I am super curious to see what retract gear sans bungees will be offered that will allow a gross weight increase and ability to sustain a post chute deceleration vs. a fixed gear. If “it”/we are talking a fixed gear option to obtain additional useful load would that be attractive? Would that be “A Mooney”? Inquiring minds are standing by....
  16. Counter-point. I don’t need Mooney for tank re-seal. I just had my tanks resealed by Paul Beck at Weep No More. Interior? NOPE. There is Jaeger and there are paint and interior shops that are outstanding. I want Mooney for gear doors/Gear/fuel selector/glare screens/flaps/ailerons/knobs/servos/rod ends etc. There is a great after market cowl that will be available (Sabre)...I want Mooney to be there for parts, but I see refurbishment as competition with and for the vintage dollar. I will continue to support Hector for leather yokes etc. and let Mooney focus on competing with “the chute” for top dollar from those that have ‘em to spend.
  17. Received as an ad. Thought appropriate for thread. Have a great Labor Day weekend. New shingles have arrived for Derecho ravaged roof.
  18. Strange indeed. Looking forward to hearing more as mystery fuel is identified.
  19. And that’s alright by me...
  20. Not really...
  21. It’s enough to make a $100k Missile conversion look like a bargain
  22. Don’t wanna catch the vid. Too hard to understand people through a mask...as well as consume libations that make people be life of party. I bet engineer parties are great. Sorry I am persona non grata. Or not
  23. https://www.valuewalk.com/2020/09/tesla-stock-split-meaningful-news/?utm_source=feedly&utm_medium=webfeeds&fbclid=IwAR1xMSpz1UttXFGU3_FfqmHzq2jYD4q7cgXs9ZROXtNNrZ8AbCdQ3yurvZo&=1 oh I know it -a- Speaking of barbs... Not much of a party guy anymore.
