  1. If I read this right, the AP also found an issue with the cam so, selling with that would mean discount for overhaul or IRAN $ in the price… -Don
  2. This Past February… Edge Aviation did it for me. A retired AP/IA was available at the time and took it on. I do have a 6 year relationship with the shop so was glad they could do it -Don
  3. I did the IRAN with new cam, dlc lifters, bearings and new cylinders, etc.. - took the shop 3 weeks..
  4. I’ve done ‘slurry’ over foam with a transition, bid/uni/triax ‘tapes’, peel ply, then ‘stipple’ out the excess when doing repairs. Worked well with the Velocity I did. May be option if you want another acceptable approach… -Don
  5. New panel cut! Hardware and wiring about done! Waiting for the Carbon Fiber overlay and hook up! -Don
  6. Jacobson flare has helped me a lot on landings along with the LHS (landing height system)… https://www.jacobsonflare.com/ -Don
  7. ^^^ This. My IA/AP sees this as minor mods and well within the scope allowed with the STC… No need to wait if you want this autopilot and have a shop to do it… Just pay what is needed for the minor alteration… -Don
  8. Maybe we should say "I’ve stopped losing money when I’ve sold my planes…" True every time I’ve sold mine… -Don
  9. http://www.speedbleeder.com/ may be able to find a match here — and they are very good! -Don

  14. AeroCruze 100 Install PICS! Moving right along. We discussed the changes today -- cnc'ing the rod length etc for both pitch and roll. Install looks great so far. Decided to do a new Pilot's side panel and cover it with the 3M Carbon Fiber to make it all look the same. This will allow the shop to organize and not deal with previous 'holes' that were covered over. Hardware is about finished for install -- wire is being run. Gonna look nice once completed! -Don
  15. Fuel distribution along with a slight throttle reduction helps… -Don
  16. A lot! -Don
  17. That was before I added FF. I averaged 7.2 GPH in that flight with a touch of carb heat… ~148 knots true in cruise... -Don
  18. My C @ 9000 WOT (~21 MAP, 2400 RPM ) or key # 45
  19. I’ve flown in there on the ILS and RNAV 05 and circled to land on 31. 31 has rising terrain and looks high but np in taking off. I usually do a downwind departure to the southwest if taking off 31. VX climb then VY to traffic pattern… 13 is right traffic btw… -Don
  20. Things moving along! Shop found a discrepancy in the roll servo arm length, needed to be shortened on my bird. Minor modification thankfully. I’ll be heading out Monday for a review and were adding a second cigarette light socket for additional power for future items I may want to power up. Excited to see the panel update for the flat pack… -Don
  21. Working the gear in the air vs ground is not the same — the forces are different for sure… Just a heads up… -Don
  22. Edge Aviation in Commerce TX. I’ll find out how much they like doing these in the older Mooneys ;o) I’m their first Mooney - they’ve done a lot of AeroCruze installs in Pipers and Cessna. IA has one in his C182… -Don
  23. Dropped off this morning. Went over everything with the shop. Excited to see how it all comes together!
  24. STC is good for my year Mooney, minor changes allowed with the STC. Install is about $4500 + incidentals. I’m having a few more things done while it’s there. Just dropped her off…
