  1. I have 6 or 7 set of spares. 1 in my hangar 1 with a guy who has made my hangar look like it is occupied by a master A&P 2 at home 1 currently at SWTA 1 on my car keychain
  2. Being able to visually easily read the fuel QTY per TANK is very helpful (especially if 1 says and goes amber) Would be nice if there was simply a fuel gauge that displayed the analogue gauges currently in AC with digital LCD numbers that look nice and pretty. (if there is one plz direct me that way)
  3. Looking to get some Monroy Tanks for my E Model. Any cons to getting one in an E model? Obviously having roughly ~1000 mile range is a huge PRO! @Piloto if you can, will you shoot me a PM when you have a chance.
  4. I am a fan of 0 flap landings. Makes me feel more in control especially with a crosswind.
  5. What size Yoke mount for the narrow M20E Yokes
  6. I made a mountain out of a molehill. It looks very simple to add a tiny light or strip in the area.
  7. Know anything regarding having the Fuel gauges light up on the panel? I have zero idea of it is possible.
  8. If I got the Lynx or 345, does anyone think I should move the location towards the center? Also - Anyone know how to light up the Fuel QTY gauges from behind or directly above?
  9. What kind of wiring is required to install the Garmin? I know 3 mechanics on duty at our Avionics shop that trouble shoot wiring running through lavs, around cargo holds up to the top of the vertical stabilizers on much larger aircraft. What is required to make the Garmin go into the empty Narco hole? also Does anyone have any recommendation/opinion/preference on how if they had this same equipment setup, how they would have the panel layout configured?
  10. What Size Ram Tough Claw is used on the original Narrow Yoke Shaft Mooney's? Small or Medium? 1965 E Model.
  11. The time/cost of install of a garmin Unit is what I am trying to figure out. If I received a free 327 or 330 - how much work goes into making it work in the slot where the Narco currently is. Correct me if I am wrong, but a replacement Narco just slides in .
  12. What all would go into installing a 327 in the spot of the Narco? This is the one aspect I have yet to grasp with GA Avionics. What can I literally just put in the exact spot of the Narco and plug in the previous power source and antenna source? (not sure if possible) $6000 is still 3800 more than a used Narco + UAvionix or 3000 more than GTX327 + Uavnionix. (I promise I am not meaning to sound condescending or whiny)
  13. I had heard through the grapevine that my transponder won't past the next IFR cert as it isn't producing enough power. But I can find a Narco for super cheap. I am worried about cost of install. I got a quote for an L3 and with install it was 7-8k.I work with A&P's and IA's so the uAvionix could be installed and signed off in 30 minutes to an hour and a new (used but new to the plane) Narco installed quickly too without any wiring. I am wondering what is behind the strip with the Registration on it. Other holes to feed a lamp or switch through? What about lighting up the fuel gauges. Is there any way to get lighting right the glass that is just for that gauge. Not one from overhead but on the panel directly above.
  14. My 65E was under 70k, 300 hours on the engine, Aspen, JPI830, Brittain AP (no altitude hold though) and Garmin 430W. 201 Window too. I would highly recommend using All American Aircraft to help you find one.
  15. Is it plug N play?
  16. Eventually going to need ADS-B. Have Garmin 430W. The Aspen but an old Narco AT150. What is cheapest way for ADS-B need to include install too. UAvionix Beacon or Strobe ~ 2k I have a Sentry already. For the Panel ADS-B solutions - what is required for a Garmin or Stratus to go in place of the Narco . Also.. Does anyone know how to have the Fuel Quantity gauges backlit? As of now it's from the red overhead lights on the ceiling (anyone also know how I can replace them with LED so they aren't 38583 degrees F to the touch)? Feel free to provide your recommendation on how you'd have the panel arranged. The On/HdG/off switch is for the NAV1/GPS / Brittain Autopilot tracking paired with the Aspen I'd like to move that up top by the gear lights along with the EFIs master, EGT switch, outside temp gauge, mute and ALT WARN LIGHT thus getting panel space above the radio.
  17. Yes i have a Narco 150 on the Frits. What else will will be needed to make the 327 work
  18. Will let you know !
  19. All depends on the work shedule this week!
  20. I had the same issue mid august! It went out on me. Be sure not to get too distracted trying to trouble shoot when satellite goes out!
  21. @Parker_Woodruff IPc you say?! i am interested too!
  22. @Stephen you can use my hangar at KGPM if you need.
  23. Has anyone had issues with their GN430W getting satellite signal after putting a Scout or Sentry in the cockpit? anyone notice any 430 satellite issues in general as of late?
  24. Glad you landed safely. One where you can walk away is a good thing.
  25. Specifically looking at the Stratus or Sentry!
