This weird phenomenon know as rain finally came back to DFW this weekend. I want a portable ADS-B in solution by the end of the week. Thoughts on the Sentry and Thoughts of the Stratus 3. (If someone knows of a good deal let me know)! i know the Stratus 3 is being offered with “$200 off” the sentry intrigues me though. Plus the new tail beacon ADS-B looks kind of cool. @gsxrpilot this will help me navigate down to Bastrop to say hello and buy you some beer for all your help!

Foreflight is great, but it is missing 1 thing! A Foreflight Official Performance Profile. I had to step away from playing with my plane for the next couple of days due to business, but I had inquired with Foreflight and asked if they would make an official profile. Called the FBO there. They are going to change the wheel for me along with a good visual inspection of the rim. Looks like I should be good. Landing at 1945 in a small Texas town on a Sunday needing help is never a good thing as everything closes at 1600 or 1700 !

I tied it down and left it at SEP. took a Lyft home. Brought the lady friend with me. Made it a fun interesting date night, her first time up in the new girl! Rim looked to be just fine. I taxied on it to get it off the runway and Park it. Very slowly I might add.

Welp I landed at KSEP tonight to get some Hard 8 BBQ best landing in the plane so far. Once nose touched, major shimmy, nose tire flat need mooneyspace help locating nose wheel (plus rim too) anyone have a jack or can anyone help change a nose wheel in the DFW and Stephenville area?

Welp, I bought a 65 M20E today, only problem is the transponder is going out. It needs ADS-B eventually. Anyone know of any Oshkosh promotions for the L3 Lynx or Garmin GTX 345's?!

Flew it Monday for a little bit. First time in a Mooney! Loved the responsiveness.

Greetings Mooney Space! About to turn 30 and I think I might be starting to have my first mid-life crisis. I got back into flying this year after a 7-year hiatus (thanks Congress for your 1500 rule) and hate being at the mercy of the availability of rental aircraft in the DFW area. I have my instrument rating. Doing some IFR refresher courses to get back up to speed. Looking for any advice on Mooney buying + avionics upgrades. The aircraft I am currently looking at looks to be in good condition, hangared in a dry location. It has an HSI, VOR, King radios. It also has an ADS-B transponder. No GPS or Autopilot though. Looks like over the past 7 years - WAAS has become the new "must have item". Always open to flying pointers on the aircraft type. I have never flown a Mooney before. The speed + fuel efficiency really appeals to me plus the acquisition cost is significantly less than a 182 and goes faster than an Arrow. If anyone wants to see the exact AC in question, just PM me (but promise not to try and buy it) Thanks!
