  1. Left wing better as it won't be influenced by exhaust gases which are also on the right side. Agree on using the existing hole as guide in an inspection panel.
  2. I WAS at Oshkosh last year, and was told there were no more discounts.
  3. I have had a totally different experience with JPI; that is why I just purchased a GEM Insight G4. InsightAvionics at least answers the phone and doesn't ask you to send in an email, or play games and try to multi-task when they are on the phone with you troubleshooting.
  4. I am on Gill #2 in 21 years. Keep on a smart charger between every flight. End of discussion.
  5. Dr. Norm Smith is rolling in his grave laughing. This was well discussed 20 years ago. Always slide the seat back with one/two people aboard. Reduces the drag of trim.
  6. I'll take you up. I am based in Auburn. N9656M.
  7. Is anyone going to this? Oregon has a 10 person indoor limit. Curious how this could happen.
  8. Easy to find. I bought one at Torrance once from the FBO.
  9. Good to have that sign-off in your logbook for knowledgeable potential buyers. Its a bit of a pain as I recall but it will help you sleep at night as well.
  10. I plan on being there.
  11. Month to month sublet; large enough for a Mooney. Jeff 2066796477 text or call.
  12. Definitely do NOT use triflow or any type of oil. Use spray dry silicon. Anything wet is going to goop it up.
  13. Giving your money to Garmin is like sending it to the enemy. Get a Stratus. Much better customer service, cheaper, not locked into the Garmin/Jeppesen ecosystem...
  14. Did you replace your overhead lights with LEDs?  Where can I read about that?

  15. Does anyone know the part number for the probe/wire for the CHT on the original six-pack for a 1967 C?
  16. MD 41 for Garmin and a Garmin 155XL for sale. Both work perfectly. On ebay for $799 and $1,399 now but negotiable... Jeff
  17. I have a Garmin 155XL for sale. Great shape.
  18. Count me in! Need full name?
  19. 1967 Thanks for the reply. Jeff
  20. Related issue, my door doesn’t pop open in flight, but the latch seems to move a bit so it gets louder and No longer fully latched tight. Any ideas how to fix this besides pushing the latch forward every five minutes?
  21. Well, I guess if you have a Sperry unit from the 1950s it may not work. But any STEC or King will.
