    I have had a totally different experience with JPI; that is why I just purchased a GEM Insight G4. InsightAvionics at least answers the phone and doesn't ask you to send in an email, or play games and try to multi-task when they are on the phone with you troubleshooting.

    I am on Gill #2 in 21 years. Keep on a smart charger between every flight. End of discussion.

    Dr. Norm Smith is rolling in his grave laughing. This was well discussed 20 years ago. Always slide the seat back with one/two people aboard. Reduces the drag of trim.

    Good to have that sign-off in your logbook for knowledgeable potential buyers. Its a bit of a pain as I recall but it will help you sleep at night as well.

    Definitely do NOT use triflow or any type of oil. Use spray dry silicon. Anything wet is going to goop it up.

    Giving your money to Garmin is like sending it to the enemy. Get a Stratus. Much better customer service, cheaper, not locked into the Garmin/Jeppesen ecosystem...
