  1. i got a text message last week wanting to buy my apartment -- all cash buyer. I replied with "send proof of funds" and never heard back
  2. I read this through a few times, and I know what didnt work ,but I'm a little unsure of what steps you took to load the FP into the 3GX, have it follow the internal GPS, and load/activate the approach
  3. about 8 weeks. i had a lot of other things done as well
  4. Hi Igor -- Bravo on your new airplane! I also have one, which had a very similar stack to yours, except with 530/430. Its in the shop right now getting a G3X panel. My preference was for an all-Garmin minimalist style: 1. remote garmin audio panel (controlled from 750) 2. remote garmin txp (controlled from 750) 3. GFC500 head at the *top* of the center stack 4. G5 in the upper RH corner of the left panel here's a link to my new panel thread A lot of the items I removed have been sold, as you can see here: https://flamingo-parakeet-cnj9.squarespace.com/ --B
  5. just FYI -- the new AP is the GFC500 (the G500 is a display)
  6. Went to the avionics shop yesterday Everything in the tail compartment is done Everything in the wings is done ( photo #1 shows @Microkit LHS and Garmin AOA probe under the R wing) Everything in the engine compartment is done (photo #2 shows EGT probe) The wiring harness is almost complete (photo #3) The metal panel is being fabricated
  7. correct. i decided to forego a second NAV radio because the probability that the 750 fails while there's a simultaneous GPS outage, at whatever particular airport I happen to be landing at IFR is miniscule.
  8. had them all inspected and replaced as necessary. thanks!
  9. Just removed from my Bravo $267 each + shipping (fedex only) Parker engine driven pump 241CC-15 Parker electric standby pump 28C214CW-2
  10. I had a 275 on order, and went with the G5 because of the above, confirmed by my avionics installer
  11. FWIW -- I went for the trim servo and the yaw damper in my M.
  12. in case someone comes to this topic wonder what the resolution is: BatteryMinder says that if you have two batteries with a switch, you need 2 kits, one for each battery. The splitter goes between the batteryminder and the two trailer-to-anderson converters (pictured)
  13. This doesn’t really answer the question. Is that a yes or a no, or are you just telling me to contact them?
  14. i use the splitter. one of the batteries, however, didn't seem to charge. then I decided to hook one up at a time and it brought the battery back. so, yes, if one battery is bad, you'll only find out when you try to use it. so make sure you're monitoring the condition of each battery independently
  15. I have a non-WAAS GNS530 with antenna, rack, and backplate for $3800. my primary nav/com/gps for the past 20 years, in fine shape, for $3800. email 54x@pasker.net
  16. we have one of these for our T-6. really handy for 5,000# tailwheel in a narrow taxiway
  17. if you have two batteries, do you need 2 kits?
  18. in my simcom training 20 years ago, we went up to FL240 and did an emergency descent -- gear out, speedbrakes out, 165KIAS and 6,000fpm!
  19. Everything is now up on barnstormer https://www.barnstormers.com/classified-1715765-Avionics!.html
  20. @Alan Fox here's the website and contact info
  21. @Alan Fox the DME and ALT are sold. the 530 and the txp are for sale. the prices are listed on the website. please email me if you're still interseted
  22. a safety pilot is a "required crew member" its like saying when a CFI is instructing a *rated* pilot, that they both can't log PIC. they both most certainly can >>>When practicing flying in simulated instrument conditions with a safety pilot, both the pilot flying the aircraft by reference to instruments and the safety pilot may log PIC time if the safety pilot is acting as PIC. As long as the pilot flying the aircraft is rated for the aircraft being flown, he/she may log this time as PIC because he/she is sole manipulator of the controls (FAR 61.51). Because the pilot flying will be wearing a view-limiting device, a safety pilot will be a required crewmember on board (FAR 91.109). The safety pilot may log as PIC any flight time for which he/she is acting PIC in an operation requiring more than one pilot crewmember (FAR 61.51). https://www.aopa.org/training-and-safety/learn-to-fly/old-pages/legacy-pages/aviation-subject-report-logging-pilot-in-command-pic-time
