  3. sound plan!
  4. warning, this will make your plane slower in cruise! seriously, though, i wonder how it will change the handling/CG to remove 53# from the tail. might require different T/O trim
  5. this mooneyspace web app doesn't show HEICs (native iPhone format). use JPGs instead
  6. *** PLEASE DO NOT DM ME ON MOONEYSPACE *** Everything is priced to sell. https://flamingo-parakeet-cnj9.squarespace.com/ Password is --> xyzzy please email: 54x@pasker.net
  7. they are open for taxi and takeoff. are there planes that depart with them closed?
  8. I understand that, but let's not call it "Useful Load." that's MGTW - BEW. just call it what it is and say "oh, i don't mind flying 30# over gross."
  9. i don't understand this thinking. you didn't lose any UL. with the old weighing, when you flew at calculated MGTOW, you were actually 30# over
  10. for future reference, that’s the share button
  11. and go fly a glider while you’re there https://soaringnv.com/ . i did Silver distance when i was there
  12. thanks. it only shows me one performance profile
  13. power up, pitch up, gear up, flaps up should all be in muscle memory
  14. I looked for bravo profiles and ForeFlight and couldn’t find them. Can You send me yours
  15. i recommend having them UBER from FLL to FXE to meet you!
  16. I removed the vacuum system with the G3X/G5 install. And i’m going to have the shop reweigh the plane when its all done. They already have to defuel it to put in the new CIES senders. I’m guessing I will pick up 50+ pounds, which is 8 gallons of fuel and about 1/2 hour of cruise/100nm. Now where’s that damn 130 gallon STC???
  17. better than him following you!
  18. Everything is out, plus a hella lot of wire and vacuum lines. The avionics fan and hoses are still in but will be removed. They haven't removed the vacuum pumps yet either
  19. Went for a visit today and everything is coming along nicely. the tail box is noticeably emptier. Only the skywatch and weather boxes left, and the remote transponder. They were both inop, which turned out to be a broken altitude encoder that was feeding both. Plus the big King servos have been replaced by little Garmin ones. The middle photo is the electric pitch trim
  20. Nope, just the GNS530/430 and a few hours behind a G1000
  21. of course, the web app didn't post the photos in the order that they are listed
  22. 23. I just spent the last couple of hours playing with the GTN750xi simulator on the ipad https://apps.apple.com/us/app/garmin-gtn-xi-trainer/id1491538794 All I can say is wow! the user experience is so much better and faster than the 530/430, and the integrated transponder, audio panel , WX and traffic is really amazing Among my favorite features: * plates integrated into the moving map * TAWS / traffic * NAV/COM frequencies auto loaded and identified * integrated audio panel and transponder * when you activate a leg, it depicts and flies the intercept * VNAV for crossing altitudes and restrictions — no more guessing * integrated fuel planning (not just gals to dest on the shadin totalizer) * winds and TAS display * identifier prediction50 I feel like i’ve just scratched the surface
  24. have you considered a turbo? 231 252 Bravo?
